Nepal 🇳🇵

Honestly, seeing the devastation here in Nepal has been pretty crazy. You hear about it and see pictures, but it’s a whole different thing when you’re actually here seeing it for yourself. So much has been lost, as people are left trying to piece their lives back together. There’s still a long road ahead for so many people, but I’m thankful we can help make that journey easier for some. Being able to help make even a small difference in people’s lives has been, without a doubt, the number one best part of this experience.

It is a joy and privilege to serve this beautiful community in Nepal. The kindness and hospitality we have received has been such a blessing. From welcoming us into their homes for a meal and bringing cold drinks and snacks to the worksite, to offering us a ride home after a long day, the people here continually find ways to care for our team.
One evening as a man drove us home after work he told us, "if you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask. You've come from too far to help us to have any difficulties of your own".
His words reflect the generosity we have experienced throughout this community. Even amidst the devastation they have endured, their love and care for each other, and those who have come to help, remains evident.
There is something so special about going somewhere hoping to bless others and finding yourself blessed in return. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside these people and experience their kindness firsthand.

Congratulations to our latest team of graduates! We are excited to have Team 14 join the First Response Team at PCCR!

For me the training was extremely informative, even life changing. In the first week learning about identity and leadership gave me a lot of new life skills.
The scenarios gave me confidence in those skills and helped me find out how far I can go mentally and increased my pratical skills in EMS and rescue. 10/10

Serving here in Nepal has been such a great experience. Seeing the delight on people’s faces when we tell them we’re going to clean out their homes is so rewarding.

One day, while we were working, a lady who spoke broken English started talking with me. When I told her what we were there to do, she became so excited and thanked us over and over again.

Experiences like that really make you realize what these people have been through, losing most of their belongings and now having to start over. I’m sure it hasn’t been easy for them, and it’s such a privilege to help lighten their load in whatever small ways we can.
