The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Center of Excellence successfully conducted an Internal Research Grant Projects Progress Report Workshop on December 29, 2025. The workshop was organized to assess the progress of internally funded research projects and to provide a platform for researchers to present their ongoing work.
During the workshop, project leaders and research teams presented progress reports outlining key achievements, research methodologies, and challenges encountered, and planned next steps. The session’s encouraged constructive discussion and feedback aimed at improving research quality and ensuring timely project implementation.

AASTU Students Enhance Market-Oriented Skills through Alumni-Led Coffee Cupping Training

In line with Addis Ababa Science and Technology University’s commitment to producing market-ready and job-creating graduates, fourth-year BSc students from the Department of Food Science and Applied Nutrition recently participated in a six-hour hands-on coffee cupping training at Life Agro Coffee Training Institute.
The training was conducted as part of the course Product Development and Sensory Evaluation, which integrates classroom learning with real industry exposure.

Ethio Robo Robotics Education and Competition Center successfully conducted an orientation session and training for students of Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) to prepare them for participation in the 2026 African Robotics Championship (ARC).
The orientation was designed to form competitive robotics teams at AASTU that will compete with other institutions and represent Ethiopia at the African Robotics Championship 2026. The training provided essential guidance to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills required for effective participation in the championship.
