Today, 150 Ukrainian defenders returned from Russian captivity. This is the moment they were reunited their families and loved ones. Some of them were held captive for more than 2 years.

Others favor cutting back the billions of dollars in assistance the U.S. gave to Ukraine in the Biden administration as a way of forcing a swift end to the conflict. Critics of that approach say it would effectively disarm Ukraine and thus amount to a capitulation to Russia

❗️What is included in Trump's plan, which will be presented next week, according to Bloomberg
▪️freezing the war and leaving the territory occupied by Russian troops in an indefinite state;
▪️simultaneously providing Ukraine with security guarantees so that Moscow cannot attack again.
The plan will be presented to allies on February 14-16 at the Munich Conference by Trump's special representative to Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
- Hm… first of all, how they want to freeze the war (it seems like Putin doesn’t want it really)
- What guarantees? Other than NATO membership will not stop Ruzzia from further aggression.

Trump’s Special Representative, Keith Kellogg, responded to Zelensky’s statement on nuclear weapons. Zelensky suggested if NATO membership is out of reach, Ukraine may turn to nuclear options. Kellogg called the chances of Ukraine regaining nuclear weapons "minimal to none."

I may tell you what happens next.
China will replace (or already replacing) most of the humanitarian assistance and media support.
Trump under Nazi Elon influence has just destroyed the soft power of USA.
Make America Great Again? Yeah, yeah USA is diving to the bottom under Trump’s incompetence.

Since we're talking about fakes...
The $8 million that Politico allegedly received from USAID is as fake as the $50 million spent on condoms for the Gaza Strip.
By the way, at one of his subsequent press conferences, Trump said that they spent not $50, but $100 million on condoms for Gaza :) Well, that's right, where there's 50, there's 100, why waste time on trifles.
In reality, USAID paid its employees a total of $44,000 (thousands, not millions) for subscriptions to the paid publication E&E (Energy & Environment) in 2023-24. This is the only money that Politico received from USAID.
The fake was exposed by The Dispatch.
As for the $8 million, that's the amount Politico has received from ALL US government departments and agencies combined for almost 10 years (2016-2025).
And 2017-2020 are the years of Trump's first term, by the way :)
That is, for four years under him, Politico received money from government agencies, and everything was ok :)
If the Trump administration is cutting expenses in this way based on the principle "a penny saved is a penny earned", it's their business what to spend voters' taxes on. But in reality, it looks like Trump's revenge on Politico for their political position. The Associated Press and The New York Times were also hit.

The online community quickly debunked a fake story that was reposted by Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr. The fake claim suggested that Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Orlando Bloom, and Ben Stiller allegedly received payments from USAID ranging from $4 million to $20 million for their trips to Ukraine (screenshot 1).
It turned out that this news, which was supposedly spread by the E!News portal, simply does not exist. Magic! (By the way, this is why I always urge the media to include links to sources).
Even some pro-Russian (“Z”) authors debunked the fake (screenshot 2).
In general, public opinion about Elon Musk in the U.S. has also begun to shift.
The latest The Economist/YouGov poll showed the following results:
Attitude toward Elon Musk:
• Positive – 43%
• Negative – 49%
• Not sure – 8%
Do you want Musk to influence the Trump administration?
• Yes – 38%
• No – 46%
• Not sure – 16%
Does Musk influence the Trump administration?
• Too much – 51%
• Somewhat – 32%
• Not at all – 4%
• Not sure – 13%
Do you trust Musk to review Congress-approved budget expenditures?
• Yes – 36%
• No – 52%
• Not sure – 12%
All of this is interesting, but the problem is that over the next two years—at least until the next parliamentary elections—there is unlikely to be any action on this issue. Voters themselves have given Trump and the Republicans full carte blanche. The only possibility is if internal tensions arise within the party over this matter…
