A Russian Su-30SM fighter jet went missing near Sevastopol during the night after launching missiles at mainland Ukraine. The jet, alongside a Su-35, fired Kh-31P missiles from over the sea, targeting offshore platforms, but disappeared from radar after launching four out of six missiles. The fighter was based at an airfield in Krymsk, Krasnodar region. Search operations are currently underway in the sea. The cause of the incident is unclear, with speculation ranging from an attack by an F-16 to a potential self-destruction.

British foreign minister David Lammy has announced that Britain would provide a further Β£600 million of support for Ukraine as he visited Kyiv with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The British government said it would provide Β£242 million of funding, including for humanitarian needs, and Β£484 million in loan guarantees for World Bank lending to Ukraine before the end of the year.
