There will be a PhD Research Seminar, "Teacher Development and Educational Change in Kazakhstan: Insights from Doctoral Research," on Thursday, 11 June, from 5:00–6:30 pm.
Three doctoral researchers from Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University will share their ongoing research on:
• Mentoring novice teachers in Kazakhstan
• Teacher attestation and teaching quality
• Ethical teacher–student relationships in rural Kazakhstan
The seminar will also provide an opportunity for discussion and feedback on doctoral research, research methods, and data collection in the Central Asian (Kazakhstani) context.

Dear NU GSE Alumni,
We are opening applications for the third cohort of the scientific internship at ETS (Princeton, New Jersey, USA) under the Bolashak program.

The aim of the internship is to develop test items and assessment materials for the Admissions Insight Test (AIT), the new format of the National Unified Testing (UNT).

We are especially looking for specialists in the following subjects/fields:
- Russian Language & Literature
- History of Kazakhstan
- World History
- AI Quantitative & Digital Literacy
- Creative & Design Thinking
- Critical Thinking
- English
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Geography
- Fundamentals of Law
Key Applicant Requirements (Initial Screening):
1. Degree: Master’s, Candidate of Sciences, Doctor of Sciences, or PhD degree.
2. Work Experience: At least 12 consecutive months of employment within the past year in your scientific/subject field (at an organization accredited for scientific/tech activity).
3. Language Proficiency: Certified proficiency in the state (Kazakh) and foreign languages according to Bolashak requirements.
4. Publications: At least 1 article or review indexed in Scopus / Web of Science, or in journals approved by the Quality Assurance Committee (OKSNO / KOKSNVO) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, or a Derwent international patent application.

Please keep in mind that the deadline for Bolashak is this October.
