Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rebuffed remarks by US President Donald Trump that “Mexico is lost” and that its “only hope” is the United States. Sheinbaum reminded Trump that Mexico is a sovereign country and that the Mexican people are the ones who rule their own country.

The US presence in Africa is much larger than a base. It is a network of access points to allow for the rapid and flexible deployment of US troops onto African territory.

The killing of 19 people and displacement of 168 families by the Philippine Armed Forces has been met with outrage by human rights organizations across Southeast Asia and the United States. Among the 19 killed in the army operation, which lasted nearly 12 hours, in Toboso, Negros Occidental, were two US citizens, as well as Filipino student leaders, journalists, and human rights activists.

The massacre on April 19 has been justified by a familiar narrative: the Armed Forces claimed they were carrying out a counter-insurgency operation and that those killed were armed and members of the New People’s Army (NPA), a banned armed group affiliated with the Communist Party of Philippines (CPP).

On April 19, two foreigners and two Mexicans died in a traffic accident in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The news, which could have been just another item on the long list of traffic accidents, took a turn when it was discovered that both individuals were members of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

In light of this, Mexico’s president demanded a thorough investigation into all aspects of this case, which has alerted Mexican authorities to the possible presence of additional CIA agents on Mexican soil who may have been operating without the consent of Mexican authorities.

🇲🇱 Malians are mourning the victims of the terror attacks that were carried out across the country over the weekend. Mali's Defense Minister Sadio Camara was killed in the attacks carried out by separatist armed groups and Al-Qaeda-affiliates.

The Confederation of Sahel States (AES) condemned the assaults as “long-planned and coordinated actions aimed at inflicting heavy loss".

Barely four days after repelling the coordinated terror attacks by an Al-Qaeda affiliate and a northern separatist group on six different cities, the government of Mali, whose collapse the Western media has long been prophesying, is pressing on with developmental projects.

The US Department of Justice announced on Wednesday, April 29, that it is charging the Mexican governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya; the mayor of Culiacán, Juan de Dios Gámez; and eight other individuals with participating in activities linked to drug trafficking.

The leftist governor of Sinaloa, professor and lawyer Rubén Rocha, elected in 2021 by the ruling party, MORENA, categorically rejected the accusations, which he considered “slander without truth or basis”.

“This attack is not only against me personally, but against the Fourth Transformation movement [initiated by former President López Obrador and continued by the current president, Claudia Sheinbaum], its iconic leaders, and the Mexicans who represent that cause,” the governor stated on X.
