On the day the proscription of the direct action group Palestine Action took effect in Britain, Counter Terrorism police in London arrested 27 people during a peaceful protest.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, is the death anniversary of Ghassan Kanafani. He was a revolutionary writer, artist, and fighter for Palestinian liberation.

On this day in 1972, the Israeli Mossad assassinated him with a car bomb — killing not only Kanafani, but also his 17-year-old niece, Lamees.

His words still ring true: "The Palestinian cause is not a cause for Palestinians only, but a cause for every revolutionary."
