The Palestinian Ministry of Health has confirmed the reemergence of polio in the Gaza Strip as Israel continues to decimate healthcare infrastructure.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that a 10-month-old baby in Gaza had been infected with polio.

“The news of polio in Gaza should be an alarm bell that more infectious diseases are on the way,” stated Jude Senkungu from the International Rescue Committee after the first polio case in over 20 years was confirmed in Gaza.

This Sunday August 25, tens of thousands of Venezuelans are going to the polls once again in 4,505 “communal circuits,” to vote for different communally managed projects in Venezuela’s 2nd "National Popular Consultation."

This process is part of the construction of a new “communal” state based on popular power. This was a key proposal of the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez which has been assumed by current President Nicolás Maduro and the Venezuelan people.

This is the third time that the Public Prosecutor’s Office has made a frontal attack on President Arévalo. And it is no coincidence that all these actions have been carried out by Rafael Curruchiche, head of Guatemala’s Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Impunity (FECI), who seems to want to remove Arévalo at any cost.
