In a press conference on Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, denounced that a right-wing fascist coup d'etat has been underway since before the elections of July 28 in his country.
What Venezuelans call "Guarimbas" (riots) broke out after the electoral power confirmed that Nicolás Maduro won the elections. In several points across the country, people burned hospitals, tore down statues of Chavez and Indigenous figures and have been blocking roads and airports. The Venezuelan people have mobilized in defense of the revolution and to demand an end to the right wing violence. As of Wednesday, the violent attacks have decreased.
