A day before the people of Venezuela head to the polls to elect their next president, 30 organizations in the United States signed an open letter “Beware of Attempts to Discredit Venezuela’s Election and Launch Regime Change”.
The organizations, including Black Alliance for Peace, the ANSWER Coalition, the Palestinian Youth Movement, the People’s Forum, DSA International Committee, CODEPINK, Nodutdol, and dozens of others, warn that “a Western media narrative is already being spun to present the election as inevitably fraudulent – and pave the way for a new regime change operation if the right-wing opposition does not prevail at the ballot box.”

As the world wait anxiously for the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela - right wing media has already been raising doubts about the process today.
We have been on the streets of Caracas in several electoral precincts to see how the electoral process is proceeding. Despite the lies of Western mainstream media, the Venezuelan people have been going to vote with normality. We spoke to Jesús Nectali Rubio Cruz, a poll witness, and he declared that the elections have gone smoothly and the Venezuelan people want democracy and peace.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember the Greek revolutionary musician and Marxist anti-establishment rebel, Mikis Theodorakis.
Theodorakis used his actions and his music against oppression, especially against the CIA-backed Greek military dictatorship, for which his songs were banned and he was imprisoned and forced into exile.
For his music and revolutionary commitment, Theodorakis was nominated and granted several awards including the Lenin Peace Prize. He was an MP for the Greek Communist Party (KKE) and had a lifelong commitment to political activism.
His Mauthausen Trilogy has been described as the "most beautiful musical work ever written about the Holocaust."
