Israel and Palestinian resistance group Hamas agreed to extend the temporary truce for one more day moments before it was set to expire on Wednesday night.

According to the terms of the deal Hamas will release 10 more hostages on Thursday, November 30 which will include two women with Russia-Israel dual citizenship. In return Israel will release 30 more Palestinians.

United Auto Workers, one of the largest industrial unions in the United States, calls for ceasefire in Gaza.

The union, which is also coming off of a major contract victory, announced the creation of a Divestment and Just Transition working group to "study the history of Israel and Palestine, our union’s economic ties to the conflict, and explore how we can have a just transition for US workers from war to peace”.

Israel has resumed its genocidal war on Gaza.

Since early Friday when the negotiated pause expired, Israel has killed over 175 Palestinians, including 3 journalists. The number of journalists killed by Israel has risen to 73 since October 7.

In spite of the rain,thousands of people have taken to the streets of New York City to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire and an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Over 15,000 Palestinians have been killed since October 7 and around 200 since Israel restarted its bombings in Gaza this Friday.

Risks of infectious diseases, malnutrition soar as Israel resumes attacks on Gaza Strip

The devastation of the health system in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, is leading to growing concerns about the spread of infectious diseases. Considering the severe overcrowding in which approximately 1.8 million displaced people in Gaza are currently living, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the WHO, warned that “the risks are increasing for epidemics of respiratory tract infections, acute watery diarrhea, hepatitis, scabies, lice, and other diseases.”

🇵🇸 Over 800 killed by Israel in weekend bombardment of Gaza

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza entered the 59th day on Monday, December 4, with more than 800 Palestinians killed in the past 48 hours, as a result of the intensified Israeli airstrikes and ground attacks since the end of the pause.

Israeli attacks struck several parts of Southern Gaza and also hit parts of Northern and Central Gaza, including repeated air and ground attacks, along with raids in the Jabalia refugee camp, Gaza city, Al-Shujaya, the Nuseirat refugee camp, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, Deir el-Balah, the Kamal Adwan hospital among several other locations.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that it had launched two direct attacks on Israeli ships in the Bab Al-Mandab Strait off Yemen’s coast.

The spokesperson for the Forces, Brigadier-General Yahya Saree confirmed the operation on Sunday, stating that it was in response to the demands of the Yemeni people and the “free people of our Arab and Islamic nation, to stand fully with the choices of the Palestinian people and their steadfast resistance”.

Almost every single member of the United States House of Representatives voted in favor of a resolution, introduced by Representative Michael Lawler, equating anti-Zionism with antisemitism.

The White House went as far to condemn the progressive congress members calling for a ceasefire, calling the pressure for peace “repugnant” and “disgraceful.”

The House of Representatives voted to censure (effectively a public shaming and a step below expulsion) the only Palestinian in Congress, Representative Rashida Tlaib, for stating a fact, that “the apartheid system” is what “creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.”

🇨🇺/🇮🇷 Iran and Cuba call for a global coalition to protect Palestinian rights

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called for the creation of a global coalition of countries to protect the rights of Palestinians.

Díaz-Canel was on a two-day state visit to Tehran. He arrived on Sunday night with a delegation in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, health, science and technology, and energy sectors.

Raisi claimed that the world is doing nothing substantial to stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza and “the United Nations Security Council, the Arab League and other human rights institutions are not being effective in paralyzing the conflict.”

WHO moves warehouse in Gaza as Israel’s attacks on healthcare continue

On December 4, the United Nations’ health agency, the World Health Organization (WHO), announced that it had been warned to move supplies from its warehouse in southern Gaza within 24 hours “as ground operations will put it beyond use.” WHO officials, including Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called upon Israeli authorities to rescind the order.

Hundreds have been killed in Gaza since Israel resumed its genocidal airstrikes. The enclave is also under a communications blackout due to Israeli attacks.

Unions in the US are breaking their silence on Palestine

Last week, one of the largest unions in the United States joined the Palestine solidarity movement in calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The United Auto Workers (UAW), with 400,000 active members and 580,000 retired members throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, is the largest union in the US to take this stance thus far.
