We lament with great sorrow the passing of Nalu Faria, the revolutionary Brazilian feminist, intellectual and unbreakable militant of the World March of Women and the Worker's Party of Brazil (PT).

Nalu Faria was an influential figure in Brazil's anti-racist, anti-capitalist, popular feminist movement. She actively fought for the massification of the fight for women's rights, bringing this fight and feminist ideas to every space where people are organizing for a better world be it left parties, mass movements, trade unions, and more.

Nalu's lifelong dedication and commitment to the struggle for women's rights and for a Brazil where all live with dignity and respect, is an inspiration for all.

We express our solidarity for her family and comrades. Rest in power!

🇵🇸 Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “complete blockade” of Gaza on Monday October 9 and said that “there will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed.”

Gaza is one of the world’s most densely populated areas with a population of 2.3 million. The defense minister’s declarations come just one day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally declared war on Hamas.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember Ernesto Che Guevara, the Argentine physician who dedicated his life to the international revolutionary struggle, fighting in the liberation struggles of different Latin American and African countries.

On this day in 1967, Che was murdered in cold blood by the US-backed Bolivian army, in La Higuera, Bolivia, after he was captured with other comrades while organizing a revolutionary army.

As Che would say, Hasta la victoria siempre! (Onwards to victory always)!

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember the Greek stray dog who became famous for facing the riot police during the Anti-Austerity Protests in Greece Between May 2010 and October 2012.

The protester dog would often be seen protecting protesters and facing off with riot police in the middle of tear gas clouds. He became a symbol of resistance.

Loukanikos, who was around ten years old, died peacefully in 2014 after retiring from the protests. It's believed that he died from complications because of inhaling too much tear gas.
