As the ‘Dilemmas of Humanity: Pan African Dialogues to Build Socialism’ conference kicks off in South Africa, peoples’ movements and organizations have convened to discuss concrete strategies for a united struggle against the violence of capitalism and imperialism
The People’s Summit was held from July 17 and 18 in Brussels, Belgium to parallel the III CELAC-EU Meeting. The summit brought together over 100 political and social organizations, to discuss, amongst the people, the most important issues facing the region and their communities.
Heads of State of Latin America, such as Miguel Diaz-Canel, Luis Arce and Gustavo Petro, as well as leader of France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélenchon and PTB president Raoul Hedebouw were present at the Festival of Solidarity between the Peoples.
The political leaders of different Latin American and Caribbean movements highlighted the importance of resisting imperialism, neoliberalism, and the environmental crisis provoked by the capitalist system.
