🇨🇴 Colombia’s trade unions will take to the streets on Wednesday, June 7, to declare support for the social reforms proposed by the government of Gustavo Petro.
The mobilizations will take place at a moment of crisis for the government, which is under heavy attack by right-wing forces.
The proposed reforms in health care, labor, and pensions are currently being discussed in the Congress and if passed, will radically transform access to the rights to health, dignified jobs, and dignified retirement.

#PeoplesHistory | Today, we remember the #PeoplesVictory of the London School of Economics’ cleaners. In 2017, after ten months of campaign, they won their battle and forced LSE to end the practice of outsourcing cleaners.
On this day in 2017, LSE’s cleaning workforce, made up entirely of migrants, along with students and staff, and organizers with the union United Voices of the World, succeeded in the first ever outsourced workforce in the UK to be brought in-house by a university.
Their struggle for rights which included strikes and occupations began in 2016 and lasted for ten months. The all-migrant workforce demanded they be made direct employees of the university and for an end to the stark disparities in pay, sick and paid leave, maternity leave and pensions.
