Dear students, today is The Martyr Day! The day on which Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru made supreme sacrifices.

Their final moments are documented by various authors. It is said that they refused to plead for pardon before the British Government when some officers asked them to do so.

When called upon to mount the scaffold, Bhagat Singh was reading a book by Lenin or on Lenin. He continued his reading and said, 'Wait a while. A revolutionary is talking to another revolutionary.' There was something in his voice which made the executioners pause. Bhagat Singh continued to read. After a few moments, he flung the book towards ceiling and said, "Let us go.

Infact When the three young men reached the hanging site, Bhagat Singh confidently said that people would soon see and remember how Indian freedom fighters bravely kiss death.

Further, while being executed, they refused to wear masks over their necks. In fact, Bhagat Singh threw the mask at the district magistrate and they kept on shouting  "down with the British empire".

Friends, even at the face of death, even in the Moment of reckoning, they remained defiant. They displayed immense fortitude and courage of conviction.  True hereoes indeed!

Good morning dear students,

In 2020, Khushi lost her grand father in a road accident as the car driver couldn't spot him riding the bicycle. While for most people it would have been a mere unfortunate event leading to personal loss but it was not the case for Khushi. She has made it a mission to install light on the bicycle to improve their visibility. Truly an example of compassion and altruism & as Gandhi ji said, Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Btw, i noticed not many students has commented their targets in the post. I hope you are doing that on your own. Decide your targets before going to bed and chase them down one by one after waking up. There is no short cut to success. Discipline is the only choice you have.

Yesterday I was watching "Turning Point" - a documentary on 9/11 attacks on Netflix.

USA launched full frontal attack on Al-Qaeda in the aftermath of these attacks. It captured various alleged terrorists from Afghanistan and started interrogating them. The interrogation techniques that were adopted were inhuman to say the least. During interrogation, one of the leading commander of the terrorist grp, Ibn Sheikh revealed that Iraq was building weapons of mass destruction in cooperation with Al-Qaeda. USA used this info to launch war on Iraq(Saddam Hussain).

However after the war, inspectors of UN found no evidence of WMDs in Iraq. The whole premise of war turned out to be false.

When Ibn Sheikh was asked why did he give wrong information, he said- "you were torturing me so much so I gave you the information you wanted to hear"

Dear students, the anecdote tells us the importance of right means. A country was torn apart based on false information obtained thru unethical means

This is because the inhuman interrogation techniques aim at compliance and not cooperation. In the former, you give information for torture to stop.

Recently SpaceX's Starship, the most powerful rocket ever built exploded in midair on its first launch attempt.

However this is not the first crisis Elon Musk has faced in life.

Musk founded SpaceX, with an objective to lower space transportation costs and make Mars colonisation a reality. He invested a lot of money which he got from the sale of PayPal into SpaceX.

However the company’s first three launches failed one after the other. It sparked scepticism in many investors. They were almost at the verge of bankruptcy. They only had enough money for one more launch; and naturally it was a very stressful time for Musk.

Yet he didn't loose hope.

The fourth launch was a huge success, and as a consequence SpaceX received a contract from NASA for $1.6 billion. SpaceX was sending rockets to space at one third the cost of any other agencies in the business. Musk had gone all out for the SpaceX launch which, fortunately for him, turned out to be a success.

Dear students, the anecdote teaches us the importance of
a) Self Belief
b) Perseverance
c) Humility to accept and learn from the mistakes.

Agar mocks me ache marks nahi Aa rahe hain, prelims nahi nikal raha hai.. To give up nahi karna hai... That is not you.. You cannot afford to be the person who give up. Aap khud hi khud ko respect nahi karoge!

PS. The anecdote can be used as intro in Essay like "Attitude not Aptitude determine your Altitude" or as example in Ethics paper.

This is not a meme.πŸ‘† This is a leadership lesson for all of us.

Dosto, individual can only go so far. It is the team that achieve great results together. And, it is the quality of leadership that decides how will team fare.

There are some leaders who are so emotionally intelligent that they bring the best out of their team members- at times pushing them to achieve something that they otherwise wouldn't have achieved.

Dosto, leadership yahi hai...Ajinkya Rahane was dropped from the squad and now he has made a thunderous comeback.

Similarly Ganguly also provided support to new comers and built a great team.

On the other hand, we also remember Chappel era when a team was reduced to collection of great individuals. It is the leadership that makes difference.

However Leadership ke lie jaroori nahi hai ki hamen koi formal position mile... We should make a habit of helping others/ empowering others. They may be your younger sister/brother or even your colleagues... Don't hesitate to take initiative and help them if you can.. Jaroori nahi hain wo help mange... But aap aage se karoge to leader banoge ek din. Naye bharat ke leader!

PS. Story of Ganguly/Dhoni and Chappel will make great example on leadership. #Essay #Ethics

Anecdote on perseverance, Will power and attitude

Attitude Determines Altitude

Once, a young school boy was caught in a fire accident in his school and was assumed that he would not live. His mother was told that he was sure to die, for the terrible fire had devastated the lower half of his body. Even if he were to survive, he would be a cripple throughout his life.

But the brave boy did not want to die nor did he want to be a cripple. ATTITUDE. His determination to walk was indomitable and his persistence finally paid off. He began to walk to school, then run to school, to run for the sheer joy of running. Later in college he made the track team.

In February 1934, in New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden, this young man who was not expected to survive, who would surely never walk, who could never hope to run – this determined young man, Dr. Glenn Cunningham, ran the world’s fastest mile. (ALTITUDE)

#You may also observe how the story is narrated. First the context is set then his journey is narrated beautifully with specifics (events, dates, place etc) and delineating his attitude explicitly. So whenever you write an anecdote in an Essay, try to write like this. A badly written anecdote will not fetch you marks. Even though the story is interesting yet it needs to be told in an interesting manner to generate interest.

History has never been about the winning of scientific man over romantic man always. Romantic man through their ideas, imagination and creativity has inspired scientific men to open up & explore new frontiers of scientific knowledge.

The attached article will make a great anecdote for the essay.

You can also use it to highlight importance of arts, freedom of expression and fictional creativity to inspire scientific exploration.
