Hi Everyone,
I hope you're doing very well. I didn't have time to introduce my self. My name is Marouane BENALLA and I'm joining the adventure of Peculium as the new CTO of the company.
My main mission is to take Peculium's products to the next level and provide a full technical and strategic vision. That is said, Should you have any concerns or issues with our products, any improvement that you think should be done, I'll be more than happy to discuss them either in person or through message, and trust me when I say that nothing important than listening to our clients.
We know that some of you are trusting us and we love to see their support message, other have lost faith, and we completely understand that especially with the issues we are lately facing (Locked money, inconsistent displayed data …) and we're doing our best to fix that and improve the quality of our products. To give a clear insight into what is happening and to have full transparency with you here are the issues we did face lately and why:
Move free amount to sweet pot: Some of you did try to move their free amount to the sweet spot. Some have succeeded others not. So why did it fail even if you did have a lot in your free? The reason is due to our streaming job that is getting data from Binance. Binance was sending us some inconsistent responses, and it wasn't simple to find the source of the issue between all the millions of logs we have in the platform every day. So in fact, you didn't have a lot free, and because our data pipeline wasn't synchronized you did see inconsistent data regarding your free amount.
Locked money is a strategy to ensure the long-term win for our clients. In other words, the strategy should be a 100% win in the long-term. Of course, this is good when the AI Engine keeps getting the right signal, but due to the volatility of the market the engine stacks it-self in falls which causes the machine to block until it's safe to go out. That said, we are working with more qualified researchers to understand what is going on and how to implement efficient unlocking mechanisms to avoid locking the money for long periods.
** Negative profits: it's related as well to the issue of the data we did collect from Binance. Some trading data were not collected about some trades which incurs 0 value profit and if we deduce the buy price the users finish with having negative profits in their portfolios.
We've started fixing some of these issues, and we still have to clean some inconsistent metrics, so to let you know the platform will not be available for almost 10 hours until we clean the inconsistent data and recalculate everything from scratch. The process will start at 4 PM Paris time.
We are learning from previous errors and we are recreating every aspect from scratch with more robust ways of checking missing metrics and having almost full monitoring of our platform. We are trying to do our best to be transparent about every aspect of what we are doing and happening. So if you have any questions about what is going under the hood we'll be more than happy to explain it and clarify it.
