I listen to Alan's archival recordings whenever I get a spare moment. This was a recent stand out for me.
I never met Alan and didn't know him personally. But the man left a wealth of knowledge and wisdom as his legacy.
One I highly recommend you seek out.

Iโve been saying for some time that the dissolution of the monasteries under Henry VIII was one of the most destructive events in British history. The impact of which weโre still suffering from today. Just think about the social and cultural value those institutions created over centuries. All to be nicked or sent up in smoke by a murderous tyrant.
