The Russian Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bomber used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile for the first time during a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the military department.

“The Su-34 aircraft used the Kinzhal hypersonic missile during the air defense. The first crew that successfully completed such a task was presented for state awards, ”said the agency’s interlocutor.

Initially, a hypersonic aeroballistic missile was launched only from a modernized MiG-31K interceptor fighter. It was also planned to equip Tu-22M3 strategic bombers for the new ammunition.

Honored military pilot Major General Vladimir Popov said that the Su-34 and MiG-31 are comparable in terms of weight and size, but the aircraft have different missions: the MiG-31 is a high-altitude interceptor, and the Su-34 is a fighter-bomber designed to destroy ground goals. According to him, the capabilities of the Su-34 sighting and navigation system are higher than those of the MiG-31.

As Western Media are determined to hide the vast losses inflicted on the Ukrainian army from you, here are the main points from the latest briefing by the Russian MOD on the "Counteroffensive"

- Enemy losses since the start of the so-called offensive have exceeded 66,000 people and 7,600 pieces of weaponry.

- On none of the fronts did the attempts at advancement achieve their goals; Ukrainian military attacks on civilian objects are aimed at concealing their failures.

- The Russian Armed Forces' combat units in August 2023 shot down 159 HIMARS rockets, over 1,000 UAVs, and 13 cruise missiles.

- The most intense situation developed on the Zaporizhzhia front, where Ukrainian military units from the strategic reserve, trained by Western instructors, were introduced.

- The Russian Armed Forces liberated Novosyolovske, significantly improving their position on the frontline.

- Ukrainian units suffered significant damage due to the actions of the 810th Brigade, the 177th Marine Corps Regiment, the 56th Airborne Assault and Assault Regiment, as well as units from the 76th Airborne Assault Division. @irishmaninrussia
