This time Russia is using T-64 tanks from captured from Ukraine but the tank soldiers say they are ready to capture some some of the western supplied "Abrams, Leopard and Challenger 2" tanks to use them against Ukraine. The OBTF "Cascade" includes parts of the forces and means of the law enforcement agencies of the DPR mainly consiting of locals from the Donetsk area that have been fighting against Ukraine since 2014. The key element of the OBTF "Cascade" is the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR. The head of the OBTF "Cascade" is the DPR Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General A. A. Dikiy.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) threw a second echelon of troops into battle, using the 10th Army Corps to attack the settlement of Rabotino, Zaporozhye region, the American newspaper The Washington Post (WP) reports.

“The last week of fighting was important because they (AFU - approx. "Lenta.ru" ) decided to actively engage the second echelon of troops," Rob Lee, an analyst at the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, quotes the publication as saying .

The battle for Rabotino is taking place 2.5 kilometers from the first line of defensive fortifications in Russia , WP reports. The decision to use reserves is an improvisation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of an offensive that has been going on for two months.

Earlier, the American television channel CNN, citing the Ukrainian authorities , reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine faced problems due to the “incredible” density of minefields during offensive attempts.
