"Ukraine's infrastructure is being destroyed daily, and this is a very good reason why Ukraine needs to end the war. To end the war, they need to forget about Crimea," he said in an interview with RBC TV. Luttwak noted that Ukraine will not be able to return Crimea following the conflict with Russia, but will retain its independence and the ability to make independent decisions, for example, on joining NATO. "The choice is up to Ukraine," the expert emphasized.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the preliminary results of hostilities show that Ukraine's military resource is almost exhausted. He announced this at the XI Moscow Conference on International Security, TASS reports .

During the military operation in Ukraine, Russian troops debunked the myth of the superiority of Western military standards, Shoigu said.

According to him, Western countries are working out various options for conducting military operations in Ukraine, and despite the comprehensive assistance of the Ukrainian army, it is not possible to achieve results, including during the counteroffensive.
