In his excellent book Who Are We?, Sam Huntington writes that American identity originally had racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious dimensions. The founding then added an ideological/credal dimension.

Over time, however, American identity eroded. We're now at the point where to even propose a common Anglo-American culture is deemed white supremacy.

What remains is a perverted ideological identity – the American creed is now defined by support for BLM, gay rights, and diversity.

This is a difficult situation to find ourselves in. Proposed solutions vary. But at the very least, immigration must be ended, entirely, for the foreseeable future – as with all policies that demean and discriminate against white Americans.
