There’s a tendency among conservatives to dismiss those who rule over us as goofy or unserious. To their credit, there’s much truth to this. Consider the pathetic antics of liberal politicians, celebrities, and journalists. These adversaries of ours are certainly no Stalins or Lenins. Nonetheless, they should not be underestimated. It is a grave error to write off our elites on account of their goofiness.
