Russia invading Ukraine has overshadowed another interesting happening: American trucker convoys. Did you know that there are multiple convoys on their way to DC right now?

The situation in Ukraine is as tragic as it was avoidable. In 2014, Western elites supported a color revolution which deposed the Ukrainian President, Yanukovych, who was pro-Russia.
Since then, we’ve beefed up Ukraine’s military and escalated tensions further with Russia. Putin made it clear that Ukraine joining NATO would be viewed as a grievous provocation. When the West refused to rule that out, he invaded.
Regardless of whether you think Putin is justified, inescapable is the fact that this could have been prevented. Thus, any right-wing pundit or politician condemning Russia without acknowledging the above is guilty of knowingly or unknowingly echoing State Department propaganda.

War in Europe is a bad thing. I initially mused that NATO being humiliated and delegitimized was a good thing—and generally it is—but the invasion of Ukraine appears to be uniting Europe for the wrong reasons. This conflict appears to be solidifying a pan-Europeanism rooted in Western, liberal/progressive values in opposition to Russia’s implicit ethnonationalism and conservatism.
Ideally, the war ends soon with no further loss of life, Russia is sparing with its annexations, and we get America out of NATO as soon as possible. (Note that this is the ideal, not the likely outcome.)

Fortunately it seems that NATO and the US are going to stay out of Ukraine—for now, at least. Unfortunate, however, is the likely possibility that the attitudes, alliances, and policies which created this unnecessary conflict will be further solidified.

If you don’t like Russian expansionism, then don’t meddle in its neighbors’ affairs. Our involvement in the Maidan color revolution would be comparable to Russian deposing a pro-American Canadian prime minister, installing a pro-Russian one, and beefing up the Canadian military while condemning America. It’s inexcusable.

Today I was deposed by the Jan. 6 Committee. Some questions I answered, but for many I pleaded the fifth. I’m struggling to recall a single thing I said which wasn’t already public knowledge.
In terms of discovery, having been banned from most platforms meant I had basically nothing to turn over.
As previously stated, I have no evidence of wrongdoing on behalf of any party involved in Stop the Steal—or any other conservative cause—so this subpoena was a waste of everyone’s time.
I want to thank everyone who contributed to my legal fundraiser. Having an attorney throughout this process was necessary to ensure that my rights were protected. I have no idea if this is the end of the ordeal—I’ll keep you all updated if anything changes.

The widespread GOP and Con Inc. condemnation of Russia we're currently seeing should serve as a reminder that sadly America's post-WWII foreign policy, as atrocious as it has often been, has been one of the few issues for which a high level of bipartisan support exists.

Reminder: Any take on the invasion of Ukraine that doesn't account for what spurred it—NATO and bad American foreign policy—is incomplete at best.
