There’s going to be fighting in Ukraine—how much fighting, and the extent to which and the ways in which America gets involved, remain to be determined.

America and the EU will likely not become more involved than imposing sanctions, as they did in 2014, and giving indirect military aid to Ukraine—free ATGMs and so on. The elites probably want war, but they also know that there's no will to fight over Ukraine in America, and even less in Europe, where war with Russia means gas prices skyrocket.

“President Vladimir Putin's decision to send troops he called peacemakers into breakaway regions of Ukraine did not constitute a further invasion that would trigger a broader sanctions package, a Biden administration official told Reuters on Monday, but the White House believes a full invasion could come at any time.”

JUST IN - Canada's "freedom convoy" leader and organizer Tamara Lich was denied bail by an Ottawa judge this morning.

Lich faces faces up to 10 years in prison.

If Putin gets what he wants in Ukraine, prepare for an onslaught of terrible conservative takes accusing Biden of not doing enough. Remember—populists shouldn't become NATO fanboys just to score points on the Democrats.

I'm neither a Russophile nor a Putin worshipper but let's be clear: A victory for Russia here is a loss for NATO and globalism. Let Putin have his way with Ukraine—but don't delude yourself into thinking he's the savior of the West or whatever.

To be blunt, the Russia-Ukraine situation is tiresome to discuss on the right because people always project their meme opinions onto it.

"Ukrainian identity doesn't exist!"

"Putin's controlled by the Jews!"

"Putin is going to save the West!"

"Ukrainian nationalists are based, Putin isn't!"

etc. etc.

My position is simple: It ain't my fight nor is it my country's. I have no ill will toward Ukrainians or Russians—just doesn't concern me.

I'll amend the post above—it does concern me insofar as I want NATO to be humiliated and delegitimized.

Putin has called for both the "denazification" and the "decommunization" of Ukraine. This is just realpolitik—he's rationalizing his country's geopolitical interests. Ukraine is obviously neither a nazi nor a communist country.
