What’s the implication here? That the Democrats *should* support reparations? MTG’s previous attempts at using the other side’s morality against them backfired horribly—probably time to find a new strategy.

I can already see the nativist arguments for reparations now: “Black Americans are struggling to get by while the DEMS want to give handouts to illegals! Reparations now.”
This probably won’t come about anytime soon—but if we’ve learned anything from conservatives, it’s that they excel at rationalizing their capitulation to the other side’s agenda.

As far as newer films go, Midsommar (2019) and The Witch (2015) genuinely creeped me out, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that the directors were glorifying evil as opposed to merely showing it as an unfortunate reality of this world.
In both, the female protagonists break with everything they were taught growing up and embrace radical female empowerment—which, surprise surprise, entails the embrace of evil as well.

Midsommar makes sense when you realize it’s basically about a white girl going to college lmao

Yeah, I read the plot outline for Hereditary and decided I’ll probably never watch it. Compare that to Dracula which is basically a meditation on evil, on what it is to be separated from God—it’s a tragic and horrifying prospect—and why such unfortunates need to be stopped.

Yeah after having watched Hereditary, I decided that a Catholic shouldn’t be watching that dudes movies. I went to confession for that. It was demonic.

Both of these films are “red-pilled” but unintentionally so, and only if you already know the score. The average young woman watching these films will likely conclude that the respective protagonists were relatively justified (they weren’t).

I heard a girl say Midsommar has a happy ending because she gets rid of her toxic boyfriend and is finally accepted by others
