For what it's worth, I'm not idealistically anti-war either. War should be a last resort, one only opted for when absolutely necessary. The obvious problem with recent American wars is that they were largely unnecessary and destructive to our country.

Even back in 2015 he was saying "bomb the shit out of them", he never was an idealistic anti-war guy he just thought in terms of winning and losing

There are pros and cons to imperialism in any era, but the empire we have now decidedly doesn't benefit us.
