To be part of a political faction, party, or movement entails a desire for it to win – at least in theory. If you’re a Democrat, chances are you want the Democrats to win the presidency, regardless of your preferred candidate. The same holds true for Republicans. However, a big divide on the right exists between those who view electoral victory for the GOP as a good thing and those, like myself, who only care about GOP victories insofar as they advance a particular policy agenda, i.e. populism.

I, too, hate it when politics is used for societal improvement

What an indictment against the GOP that so few of its elected officials are willing to openly denounce anti-whiteness the way this former Dem rep has. Props to her.

This isn’t an endorsement of course of Tulsi’s politics overall. On immigration, she falls glaringly short. Tulsi gets points for not hating white people, though, which seems to increasingly be a prerequisite for political success on the left.
