Correct, which is why citing statistics does little to diminish support for BLM among its most faithful supporters. Oftentimes the irrational (myth, symbolism, etc.) is a more powerful motivator than the rational (facts, data, statistics, etc.)

Everything surrounding the Floyd incident is demonstrative of the importance of symbols! Regardless of the man's low status, he has become a vehicle for all People of Color in America to express their stewing frustration with a Judicial system that is fundamentally designed to keep them under the heel of a demented white ruling class.

The push for “trans rights,” like most other left-wing causes, is best understood as a cudgel used to break down conservative Christian values, thereby paving the way for globalism.

There really aren’t that many trans people out there; as such, it’s not as if they constitute a significant constituency. The amount of attention they receive from powerful institutions—media, academia, NGOs, etc.—is thus entirely disproportionate.

Some conservative recognize the fact that the Left has weaponized minority identity politics (sexual and racial) but err by claiming that these groups aren’t *actually* represented by the left. This isn’t the case, though. Most LGBT people support the Left’s LGBT agenda, just as most black people support BLM. Whether or not they *should* is a different matter.

This isn’t the first n word pass I’ve received during my time in right-wing politics and it likely won’t be the last.
