Regardless, he's correct about the coronavirus empowering Trump. Despite the administration's initial hesitance to address the pandemic, the latest Gallup poll shows 60% of respondents believing that Trump is responding to the coronavirus well. 49% approve of Trump overall, which is significant. Trump has styled himself as a wartime president for a reason—look into the rally 'round the flag effect.
