The coronavirus is exposing not only our economic weaknesses, but our social weaknesses as well. Without waging and bar hopping, people are forced to confront themselves—a prospect many find horrifying. I fully expect some people to be driven insane before this is over.

The modern lifestyle is defined by distractions; rip them away and we’re left to face the reality from which we flee.
