Also... That master branch hadn't been updated in 2 years. They don't even commit their code to the repo until it's been deployed to production, and never to the master branch. They don't even make branches for new features.

Building a custom lightsaber. Took some of the parts to visit my parents, got the blade working with a little work (I don't have the board I'm actually going to use yet), and then my dad wanted to play with the code and had a bit of fun lol

Was having issues with a software install on my new work laptop.
Open a ticket. It gets escalated to a specific person (hey, always make friends with the managers / directors of other teams!)
We start a call to work this out, because apparently what I'm requesting is no longer allowed. Get to talking. OH SHIT WE'RE BOTH STAR WARS NERDS.
1.5 hours later steam friends and making plans and discussing Acolyte. oops.

I am so tired of CrowdStrike right now. It's been 3 days of remediation at this point. Walking non-tech users through going into recovery mode, accessing command prompt, doing bitlocker recovery, passing a temporary local admin account / password, walking through how to delete the file, etc etc etc.... all over a phone (can't see the mistakes they make)... This is exhausting.
