Did you know that about 1 in 4 students report poor sleep quality? Poor sleep quality is linked with higher risk of depression and anxiety. It is also associated with 2.4× higher odds of elevated stress.

Better sleep, better you:
Optimise your sleep space: keep it cool, dark, and quiet (fan, eye mask, earplugs, white noise)
🛏️ Reserve the bed for sleep: avoid studying or watching shows in bed
🌙 Wind down: 30–60 mins of low-light, low-stimulation routine before sleep
📱 Tame late-night screens: Night Shift/blue light filters; phone off the pillow
Stay consistent: regular sleep/wake times—even on weekends

Look out for friends: 🤝 If your peers aren’t sleeping well, check in. If they’re facing anxiety or low mood, encourage them to seek support.

This is the second of a three-part campaign series. For more information about the survey or care tips, contact studentwellness@nus.edu.sg

Tree/Life reexamines our relationship with time, proposing a gentler notion—tree time—as an alternative to a life governed by the clock. This exhibition offers a counterpoint through nature, inviting us to consider a gentler relationship with time’s ebb and flow. Tree/Life is an invitation to slowness, a journey of lingering in the moments that call us to our natural rhythms.

Tree/Life is part of third space.
