🎨 It’s the last day of Cupid’s Craft Fair Vol. 2!

Happening now at 📍Yusof Ishak House Social Commons, now till 7pm, this student-run market by @NUSMakersAlley features around 50 artists showcasing handmade gifts, art, jewellery, scented goods and more!

What started in 2022 as a small market with just 16 artists has grown into NUS’ largest student-run makers platform. Today, @NUSMakersAlley serves as a launchpad where hobbyists take the leap into entrepreneurship and side projects turn into small businesses. 🤓

The fair is part of the NUS Arts Festival, organised by NUS Centre For the Arts and NUS Office of Student Affairs.

Drop by before 7pm to support our student makers and discover something special. 🌟
Misi Kami Peduli (MKP, meaning 'Mission We Care'), a student‑led PINUS initiative at NUS, received the NUS Achievement Awards (NAA) Merit Award for Community Service in 2025. Guided by a mission to widen education and development gaps in Indonesian villages, a 21‑member team went to Nias in December 2024, installing a solar‑powered irrigation system for farming households, enhancing a children’s library, and running a digital literacy case competition for university students. Did you know that about 1 in 4 students report poor sleep quality? Poor sleep quality is linked with higher risk of depression and anxiety. It is also associated with 2.4× higher odds of elevated stress.

Better sleep, better you:
Optimise your sleep space: keep it cool, dark, and quiet (fan, eye mask, earplugs, white noise)
🛏️ Reserve the bed for sleep: avoid studying or watching shows in bed
🌙 Wind down: 30–60 mins of low-light, low-stimulation routine before sleep
📱 Tame late-night screens: Night Shift/blue light filters; phone off the pillow
Stay consistent: regular sleep/wake times—even on weekends

Look out for friends: 🤝 If your peers aren’t sleeping well, check in. If they’re facing anxiety or low mood, encourage them to seek support.

This is the second of a three-part campaign series. For more information about the survey or care tips, contact studentwellness@nus.edu.sg
