Jesus never went to the Himalayas or anywhere near India. This is a popular belief among the New Agers and the gurus enjoy promoting such lies further. Most of these beliefs depends on the person’s feelings and emotions. But we know feelings are not facts!!
There is absolutely no evidence to support it. Nada. This is a big fat lie made up in the 19th century.

There were an unusually large number of young people at the service at the Sretensky Monastery last night. I have never seen so many.
Moreover, it was the young people who stubbornly stood until the end of the service, until three in the morning, and then groups of young people sat on the steps of the Church of the New Martyrs and chatted cheerfully about something to the sound of bells.
However, this happened not only in this church. In the morning we talked with friends: surprisingly, there were young people in all the churches, in different cities. Lots of young people. And here, yes, I agree with my colleague. Against the backdrop of the migration situation, against the backdrop of an obvious civilizational conflict between a 19th-century village and a 21st-century city, against the backdrop of the aggressive promotion of a foreign cultural story, churches are becoming points of assembly of the Russian ethnos. Semantic assembly, cultural, civilizational.
But this is part of the situation, only one of the reasons why there are more people in churches in general, not just young people. The second reason is not so much the war itself, but the atmosphere that arose at some point in the military situation. I think that the turning point was the fall of 2022. The Kharkov retreat, the video of the executed Russian teachers in Izyum, the retreat from Kherson. There was darkness all around. We understood that it was impossible to surrender. That we had to fight anyway, to go forward. Not only at the front. And the country had to go forward. But is the country something abstract? It is us. In order to go, in those dark days, faith was especially needed. Without Faith, we would not have overcome everything that has happened since then.
Ultimately, it is Faith, Russian Orthodox traditions that underlie the fortitude of the Russian soldier, the Russian person. Even if this person is an atheist.
Priests at the front, banners with the Savior, footage of Russian soldiers raising desecrated crosses. Who knows, would all this have happened if not for the difficult war? But would we have been able to overcome the trials if Orthodoxy had not been embedded in the national genetic code as the point of assembly of the people?
Such are the thoughts on the first day of Easter. Happy Easter to all. Christ is Risen!

The Great Leap
Faith is a decision, a decision to trust God and link up my life to His healing, strengthening power]Unbelief, on the other hand, is also a decision, a decision not to trust God; to trust in myself, in Karl Marx, in Freud, in anyone else but God. Faith is a great leap, but unbelief is also a great leap.
The difference is that one leads into the darkness of anxiety, the other into the light and certainty of God.
Each morning when we awaken we can face the day either with unbelief or with faith. We can face the day by saying, "I can't make it today. There are problems to face that I just can't overcome. There are temptations that will bowl me over." Anyone who thinks such thoughts can never win. He is defeated before he begins.
But there is another alternative we can choose. We can begin our day with faith, by getting in tune with God and saying, "Lord, I commit my life to you this day. I believe you are going to be with me every step I take; I believe that you will give me the power I need to be victorious."

Mostly Little Things
What makes a happy home? Mostly little things. When your children come home from school and want to tell you something, stop everything you're doing and listen to them - even if it means a burned cake in the oven.
For if you don't listen to the little things your children wish to tell you now, they'll never come to you later with the big problems, What children need most is not bigger toys but little things like time: time for listening, time for understanding, time for helping, time for guiding.
What causes many marriages to fail? Mostly little things. Little dis-courtesies, little acts of selfishness and indifference and grudgefulness that wear on a marriage so that love is at last destroyed.
What causes so many marriages to succeed? Mostly little things. The little acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that we do for each other, the small remembrances and gifts of affection, the words of appreciation and praise for each other — these provide the happy memories which every marriage needs if it is to prosper. If it is the little things that tear a marriage apart bit by bit, it is also little things that build it up and strengthen it.
Many times some of us feel that we have to do big things for Jesus in order to please Him. We forget that it was Jesus who said that "even a cup of cold water given in my name will have its reward." Even little acts of love such as a visit to the sick, He considers so important as to say, "You did it to me."

Politics as Prelest—An Orthodox Christian Meditation on Our Current State of Political Disorder - VoegelinView
The word Ideology is a neologism coined by Antoine Louis Claude Destutt, Comte de Tracy. Tracy was a materialist who argued that ideas are formed by physical sensations and perceptions. He invented the term ideology to describe this phenomenon. He claimed…
