Adressing the OpenDAX v4 Live Demo deployment issue ☝🏻

Thanks to all the people attending the session! There was an issue running the OpenDAX v4 during the presentation which we would like to adress in order to display the transparency of our technology & processes.

We have been using an Open Source solution for database installation that has worked successfully for years (if you want more details—it was a Bitnami Helm chart for PostgreSQL with a specific version). Unfortunately, it became unavailable during the presentation due to reasons not associated with Yellow but rather an outside company that was behind it (the version became unlisted from Bitnami Helm repository).

In order to ensure a smooth performance of the installation we have decided to switch to our own self-managed solution. It will always be available regardless of external factors.

The change mentioned above has already been applied and will be presented soon. Stay tuned 😉

The current version of the OpenDAX 4.0 can now operate on the mainnet meaning that exchange/brokerage operators can proceed to connect to the network, and their customers — deposit real funds. Among other upgrades:

— Mainnet deployment on Ethereum
— 14-days trial period
— Authorization via email and Google account
— 2-factor authorization with one-time-password
— Multiple MetaMask wallets linking to the account
