CotD 20.01.26: From a friend: Changi Airport is so convenient it only takes one hour to get to KL, one and a half hours to get to Penang, two hours to get to Phuket... and also two hours to get to NTU.

CotD 21.01.26: After an autonomous robotaxi crashed itself in Punggol last week, one cannot help but wonder how differently things would have been, had the subject of autonomous vehicles been the development of larger-capacity driverless vehicles along dedicated infrastructure limiting external interference... oh wait.

[TM50 PSA] New year, new poll!

Take the refreshed version of the Public Transport Public Perceptions Survey, which is intended to reflect your sentiment on the performance of public transport, and the priorities you value in transport planning! This should take no more than 5-10 minutes (it's shorter than last year's one, promise!)

Do share this with family and friends to, so that this survey reaches a wider audience too!

CotD 07.03.26: The fastest public transport service in Singapore is Causeway Link (express CW2). The only 24-hour public transport service in Singapore is also Causeway Link. To make it sting harder, the Causeway is also the longest continuous bus lane in Singapore, by some measures too.

Ironic, isn't it, that the top spot for such desirable characteristics in public transport in Singapore is not held by us?

[Post] The city with two bus maps

You have probably heard of the world's first BRT system, and seen the enormous red buses running on them. There's more to them however, and here's why it matters, for us in Singapore.

https://onestc.org/2026/03/25/the-city-with-two-bus-maps/
CotD 31.03.26: A major accident on the AYE today brought traffic to a complete standstill with all four lanes of the westbound carriageway completely blocked. The last bus of 97e (note: peak express operating until 7pm!) only reached its destination Tengah at 10pm, with dozens of other buses also stranded for up to two hours without moving.

Nowhere else has there been such a clear-cut case of the need to implement rigorous bus priority, even on our expressways where buses are perceived to already travel faster. A separate bus lane would have allowed buses to continue operating even as traffic comes to a literal halt right beside it.

(Developing incident; accident has yet to clear)

[TM50] So we've heard from some of y'all on how the RMP50 we released last year isn't reasonable, realistic, or will be practical...

We've taken your ideas into account and applied them towards our newest addition to the TM50 rail family. Meet our Central Line, coming April 2050, planned with all the ingredients needed for a successful, useful rail line!

Update to CotD 31.03.26: A motorcyclist has unfortunately passed away in the AYE accident on 31st evening. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.
CotD 11.04.26: In the face of this fuel/ energy crisis, our government as a whole should refrain from engaging in unsolicited, pretentious moral posturing that jeopardises our fuel supply lines, and further inflicts unnecessary pain on the livelihoods of Singaporeans.

And more importantly, walk the talk, just as a certain political rival has done.

[Post] Long winters ahead

An important piece on the current situation in the Middle East and its impact on local transportation. Strongly recommended to share with your family and friends too.
The strongest credibility that advocates can lend themselves is the ability to adapt under imposed austerity with the least compromise on our goals of accessibility, connectivity and and sustainability.
