Some people only need one safe opportunity to begin again.
A space to heal, learn, grow, and feel seen.
بعضی آدمها فقط به یک فرصت امن نیاز دارند تا دوباره شروع کنند.
جایی برای یاد گرفتن، رشد کردن، شنیده شدن، و دوباره امیدوار شدن.

Over the past months, Iranians, both inside and outside the country have been carrying an enormous amount of stress, uncertainty, grief, fear, and emotional exhaustion.
Even when we continue working, studying, caring for others, or trying to “stay strong,” our nervous systems still absorb what we experience collectively.
Collective trauma can show up in many ways:
• difficulty sleeping
• emotional numbness
• anxiety or hypervigilance
• exhaustion and burnout
• trouble concentrating
• irritability or hopelessness
• feeling disconnected from ourselves or others
These responses are not personal failures.
They are human responses to prolonged stress and instability.
Mental Health Awareness Month is not only about discussing mental illness.
It is also about creating more awareness, compassion, safety, and understanding around what our minds and bodies carry.
⭐ Healing does not happen overnight.
⭐ But awareness can be the beginning.
Rest matters.
Connection matters.
Support matters.
And taking care of our emotional wellbeing is not selfish, especially during difficult times.
Throughout this month, we will continue sharing trauma-informed tools, grounding exercises, and conversations around healing, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
You are not alone. 🌿
If this resonated with you, share it with someone who may need it too. 🤍

For many Iranian families living across different countries and far from one another, these are incredibly difficult days.
The constant shadow of war, ongoing uncertainty, economic hardship inside Iran, and the cruel internet shutdowns have created deep pain, not only for those living inside the country, but also for millions in the Iranian diaspora who carry constant worry for their loved ones and homeland from afar.
Many wake up each day unsure if they will hear the voices of their parents, children, siblings, or friends.
A simple phone call has become uncertain.
Connection itself has become fragile.
As Iranians around the world, we are carrying a collective trauma that stretches across borders and generations.
And yet, even in the midst of fear and separation, families continue to hold onto one another with love, resilience, and hope.
A short message.
A voice note that finally goes through.
A brief moment of connection.
Small moments, yet filled with love, survival, and strength.
At OMID, we believe emotional safety, community support, and trauma-informed care are deeply important during times like these.
Even across borders, families continue to carry each other through fear, grief, uncertainty, hope, and love.
but we remain connected through our hearts.

Some have already fallen.
Some are in the process of falling.
And some are on the edge of falling.
This is no exaggeration. It often happens in silence.
It has nothing to do with what ideas they believe in.
We are talking about ordinary people.
There was already poverty, a lack of future, and exhaustion, and then came war. These falls have become more frequent. One is falling into poverty, another into hopelessness, another into destructive anger, another into uncontrollable anxiety, another into endless despair, another into deep sorrow, and another into the unbearable weight of thoughts.
There is no savior to rely on. This is not the work of a day or two. It is not the responsibility of one or two people. Each of us must carry part of the burden. Each of us, in whatever way we can, whenever we can, must try to keep another from falling.
It is not enough to hold onto your own hat so the wind doesn’t take it, you must reach out and hold someone else’s hand.
The world outside us is beyond our reach and control. But we still have access to our inner world. We still could hold ourselves steady.
This is urgent.
To keep another from falling, we must let go of part of our ordinary lives. As much as we can, through listening, being present, seeing, offering financial support, creating opportunities, understanding, and forgiving (choosing not to focus on others’ shortcomings) we must care for those at risk of falling.
Happiness is collective. Much of suffering is collective as well. In our current reality, even survival has become deeply collective.
At OMID, every day, we offer tools and workshops to support girls who are on the edge of falling.
Join us. Support us. Be part of life-changing programs.
Starting today, we will also share simple somatic exercises in our Instagram to support inner peace and nervous system regulation, drawn from the same workshops we provide to girls and women in the field.
With your support, we can continue to expand our impact and reach those who need it most.
