The video is about a man in Canada who demonstrates how to build an off grid log cabin. In the video, you can see the man cutting down medium-small trees with hand tools; an axe and metal "bow saw". After felling the trees he pulls them to the cabin site and removes the bark to reveal the smooth wood surface. He carefully shapes and notches the logs so that they lay on top of one another to form the sturdy cabin walls. Once he gets to the top, he uses a ladder to set the roof. He chars the wood a little with fire for decoration then does the roofing. The small spaces in between the roof wood are covered using a mix of soil, straw and water - another traditional technique from the old days. 🙂
