π Support the Growth of the Telegram Sync Plugin! π
When I first started developing the Telegram Sync plugin, I was on a creative break and had plenty of time to dive deep into things like Zettelkasten, Obsidian, and note-taking. Quickly realizing that such a plugin was not only something I needed but also something others were searching for, I set off on its development. One feature after another, updates were released at a rapid pace.
However, as some of you may have noticed, development has slowed down recently. While part of this is because the core functionality is already in place, it's also due to my limited free time. β³
Iβm aware that some users still face a few bugs and that there's demand for additional features. Like many open-source developers, Iβm passionate about building tools that matter to the community. Yet, with limited time and resources, it's sometimes challenging to prioritize whatβs critical versus whatβs secondary.
Thatβs why, from today, I want to give you more influence over the pluginβs future. π‘
How You Can Help Shape the Plugin:
Vote with Stars βοΈ: You can now boost the priority of bug fixes or new features (special channel posts) not just with emojis but also with Telegram Stars. Stars carry more weight as they reflect the real urgency and value to the community.
Contribute to Development π : As always, you're welcome to help enhance the plugin by fixing bugs or adding features! Just follow the instructions in this contribution guide.
Here's the exciting part: if you decide to work on a specific bug or feature and it receives stars, those stars βοΈ will be credited to you as a token of appreciation from the community! Simply send me a DM @soberhacker before you start, so I can mark the task/post as being in progress by you.
____
By engaging this way, we can ensure that the most impactful changes happen, reflecting what the community truly needs. And who knows β maybe the plugin is already pretty great as it is! π
Thank you for your continued support! π

π Super sorry!!! I completely forgot that the channel had a limited list of emoji reactions. π
Iβve now enabled the full set from Telegramβs basic free package, so you can react with an extended list of emojis. π
By the way, each channel post can have only 11 different reactions. If the PREVIOUS post already has 11 reactions, feel free to use THIS post for other reactions instead.
P.S. My mistake wasnβt entirely in vain - thanks to it, I came up with an interesting hack. Itβll be a fun surprise for advanced users! π

Quick Note
This week, the channel reached 1k subscribers π! Iβm glad to welcome everyone here π€. This good news motivated me to share how I capture quick notes π€
The most common situation when I need quick note-taking is while listening to audiobooks. Writing text in such moments feels very distracting, so I started using my voice instead.
Hereβs how I set up my environment:
1. Created a Telegram group called "Quick Note"
2. Added my Obsidian Telegram Sync bot to the group with admin rights
3. Added a Telegram widget for the group "Quick Note" to my smartphoneβs home screen
4. Created a note template in Obsidian using the variable
5. Set up a distribution rule in Obsidian with the template and the group
My strategic flow:
1. Whenever I come up with a good idea, I open the "Quick Note" group from the widget and start a voice recording
2. Once a week, I process these synced notes in Obsidian: correct the text, set tags, connect them to other notes, and turn them into permanent notes
3. If a voice transcript is inaccurate, I find the matching voice recording by its similar name. Since Telegram improved transcription quality, I only need this 1% of the time, so I no longer include recordings in notes using the

Hey Guys!
A few bugs for macOS users are quite "popular" on GitHub Issues π€ͺ, but not here. To me, this suggests the problem isnβt as painful or urgent, so Iβll focus my precious time elsewhere. Or perhaps new members are just too lazy to scroll up and boost the post?
Just a quick reminder: this is an open-source project, so everyone is welcome to contribute!
