Rhythms of Resistance (Workshop)
Rhythms of Resistance (kurz RoR) ist ein transnationales Netzwerk aktivistischer Trommelgruppen, die in Pink und Silber lautstarken Widerstand gegen intersektionale Ungerechtigkeiten auf die Straßen bringen. Im Workshop wollen wir gemeinsam die Prinzipien und Grundlagen des Netzwerks und der Spielweisen kennenlernen und natürlich auch den ein oder anderen Rhythmus antrommeln!
Sprachen: Deutsch und/oder Englisch
Es sind keinerlei musikalischen oder andere Vorkenntnisse nötig, Instrumente haben wir genug für alle!

In this workshop, we want to learn about the principles and basics of the network and how to play together, and of course drum out a rhythm or two!
Languages: German and/or English
No musical or other prior knowledge is necessary, and we have enough instruments for everyone!

Nein zur Bezahlkarte Weimar (Infoveranstaltung)
Was ist die Bezahlkarte und was können wir dagegen tun? Im Rahmen der Alternativen Einführungswoche geben wir Infos zur diskriminierenden Bezahlkarte für Geflüchtete und stellen die solidarische Tauschaktion vor. Anschließend wollen wir über weitere Möglichkeiten des Widerstands gegen die rassistische Migrationspolitik diskutieren.

As part of the alternative orientation week, we will provide information about the discriminatory "Bezahlkarte" for refugees and introduce the solidarity exchange campaign. Afterwards, we want to discuss further possibilities for resistance against racist migration policies.

We have organized an autonomous public lecture series titled “Let’s Talk About Palestinian Liberation.” During the fall and early winter we will bring activists, academics, researchers, and artists to Weimar to speak about Palestinian history, politics, and culture from anti-Zionist perspectives grounded in work toward Palestinian liberation and in solidarity with Palestinian resistance.
Our first guest will be Prof. Dr. Max Weiss, a Professor of Modern Middle Eastern History at Princeton University, USA. Prof. Weiss will give a lecture titled “A Brief History of Anti-Anti-Zionism” on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14 at 18:30, at Marienstraße 18, Weimar 99423. This lecture will discuss repression of anti-Zionism from the perspective of intellectual and cultural history. Starting around 17:45 prior to the event, we will hold a Küfa with all donations to the Sameer Project. All are welcome, and stay turned for further info on how to watch the event streaming online.
