We now live in an age where robots can perform an unprecedented range of functions. But, can AI be fully credible enough to replace human-centric roles in society? Can it change the face of religion?

NUS Business School’s Professor Samuel Yam looked at a new development in the religious space, a robotic priest installed in the heart of Kodai-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, and did a study on its impact on donations as a means to determine whether robots could indeed take the place of human religious leaders. He gathered interesting insights from the visitors and worshippers at the temple to draw a conclusion.

Find out what Professor Yam discovered in his study at https://bizbeat.nus.edu.sg/thought-leadership/article/the-in-credible-robot-priest-and-the-limits-of-robot-workers/
