🧠 Challenge #1: Find Your "Why" Before You Open a Single Book
. Here's something most students skip: your brain doesn't prioritize information just because it's in front of you. It prioritizes what feels relevant. No clear purpose = your brain treats the material as noise, and noise doesn't get remembered.
This is why you can stare at a page for an hour and retain nothing β€” your brain never decided it mattered.
The science: Purpose activates your brain's relevance filter (the reticular activating system) and boosts dopamine, which directly strengthens memory encoding. Studying with a clear goal isn't a mindset trick β€” it's biology working for you instead of against you.

Before you study, write down β€” actually write, don't just think it β€” one sentence:
"I'm studying [topic] today because ___."
Not "because I have to." Go deeper:
