On 24 March 2026, on behalf of H.E. Prof. Hor Peng, Rector of the National University of Management, Mrs. Sim Sovicha, Vice Rector, led members of the NUM iLAW Cambodia Moot Court Competition 2025 winning team, together with the 2026 participating team, in the Trophy Parade Ceremony of the Cambodia Moot Court Competition 2025. The parade began at the National University of Management and proceeded to the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC).
The Cambodia Moot Court Competition is an annual event organized to strengthen university students’ legal knowledge and advocacy skills through a fictional case scenario. The competition provides a platform for participants to engage in legal argumentation, develop courtroom skills, and gain practical experience through simulated proceedings.

On 25 March 2026, Mr. Din Siden, Director of the NUM iLAW Program, in his capacity as a legal expert to the Legal Reform Committee, presented the draft conceptual framework on building the integrity of Cambodia’s legal system to the Legal Reform Committee, chaired by H.E. VONGSEY VISSOTH, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Legal Reform Committee. The draft conceptual framework builds on the outcomes of the Symposium on Cambodia’s Legal System held in October 2025, which produced more than 1,000 pages of research and background materials.

On the morning of 26 March 2026, under the guidance of Coach That Soknang, the Nuremberg 2026 Team gathered at the NUM iLAW Office for a meeting to review the progress of their memorial drafting and discuss the next steps in preparation for the competition.
As the deadline for memorial submission is approaching in approximately two weeks, the meeting placed particular emphasis on ensuring timely completion and quality of the drafts. During the meeting, team members shared updates on their draft memorials and agreed on key priorities for the next stage, including adding more footnotes, updating each issue, strengthening arguments, refining the Prayer for Relief, and working toward finalizing the draft.
We wish the best for the team in the road ahead.
