Dear Students of the National University of Management,
The Annual NUM Moot Court Competition is officially back!
The NUM Moot Court Competition was established in 2020 and has been successfully held for six consecutive years. Over time, it has become an important platform for strengthening students’ competencies in legal research, legal writing, and oral advocacy, while also equipping them with the confidence, discipline, and foundational skills necessary for success in competitive mooting at both the national and international levels.
The NUM Moot Problem 2026 shall be adjudicated before the International Court of Justice and will address legal issues concerning State borders, territorial sovereignty, and alleged violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Participating teams will analyze a fictional case prepared by the NUM Moot Court Committee and will submit written memorials and present oral arguments on behalf of both parties before panels of judges with expertise in public international law.

The CMCC conducted in the Khmer language is hosted by the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, and is an annual event designed to enhance the legal knowledge including advocacy skills of university students through hypothetical case scenarios.
We are proud to introduce the team that will represent NUM iLAW in this year’s competition:
Team Members: Nak Bunnun, Yea Ravith, Heng Lychou, Sarin Coral, Pech Sereypanh Chaktep, Tim Cheatsovichet, Hak Yeakleang, and Meak Munineath.

Tryout Registration for the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot 2026 is now OFFICIALLY OPEN!
The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (“FDI Moot”) is the most famous competition of “moot court” type in the field of investment arbitration. Each year approximately 100 teams from all round the world participate in this contest. During the competition, students play the role of lawyers representing the investor and the state in a dispute before an international arbitration tribunal acting on the basis of an agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments (“BIT”).

⏰ 16 February 2026 (23:59)
👥 Who can join?
✔ Open to currently enrolled NUM iLAW students;
✔ Interest in mooting and international law;
✔ Basic ability to communicate in English;

On February 3, 2026, Mr. Din Siden, Director of NUM iLAW, conducted a weekly meeting with the core team. On 3 February 2026, the ECCC team held their weekly meeting with their coach to discuss updates on their arguments and revisions to their memorial drafting following the kind guidance and suggestions received from Mr. Director of NUM iLAW yesterday. During the meeting, they reviewed key points of contention, assessed feedback from previous drafts, and adjust accordingly to strengthen their overall memorials. The team also set specific goals for their upcoming tasks to ensure a cohesive approach moving toward the deadline of the memorials submission.
