*On OTP/CODE receipt in email for eLearning Portal*
We are aware that many students are experiencing difficulties receiving the OTP via their school email to access the eLearning portal.
Please note that this issue stems from the portal itself, not your email, so thereβs no need to worry. The management is working on resolving it, and we will keep you updated once it's fully operational.
Currently, only students who have linked the Google Authenticator app with the eLearning portal can access it without any issues.
Additionally, please be informed that there will be an orientation for Online Facilitation on October 5th, 2024, at 10 a.m.
Stay tuned for further updates. Feel free to share this information with other students

*E-learning Portal Update*
The issue with receiving the token/code has been resolved. If your school email is active, you will now receive the token needed to log into the e-learning portal.
For new users, please check your school email for the default password generated by the management, as your matric number is no longer the default password. Upon logging in with this default password, you will be prompted to change it to the password of your choice.

*New Update on Portal*
This is to inform you that practical courses, which were previously only registered as courses, are now also registered for exams.
If youβve already registered for these courses, kindly check your portal. The management has automatically registered you for the exams of those practical courses.
This means that these courses are now "EXAMINABLE." You will be required to do the practicals and also write an exam for them.

*Clearing the Air on Current Happenings at NOUN*
1. *2024_2 Registration Status:*
As of now, there is no official closing date for the 2024_2 semester registration. However, itβs always a good idea to register as early as possible to avoid any last-minute rush or potential technical issues.
2. *TMA Timeline and Deadlines:*
You might be concerned about the upcoming TMA, which is scheduled to begin on October 30th, and whether you'll be able to complete it before it closes. Hereβs how it works:
- While TMA 1 starts on October 30th, it will not close individually. Instead, it remains open until TMA 3 is released.
- All three TMAs (TMA 1, TMA 2, and TMA 3) typically close together. This final deadline is likely to be in December, but the exact date will be announced by NOUN.
- This means even if you register as late as November 10th, you will still be able to complete TMA 1, TMA 2, and TMA 3, provided they are still open at the time.
*Important Note:* One downside to registering late is the potential delay in having your courses uploaded to the eLearning portal. The system uploads courses in batches, and it can take up to 7 days after your registration for your courses to appear. Nonetheless, once your courses are uploaded, you will be able to start working on your TMAs right away.
3. *Examination Updates:*
There is no specific date for when examinations will begin, whether for P.O.P (Pen-On-Paper) or e-Examinations. The most important thing right now is to focus on preparing for your exams in advance. Keeping up with your studies and TMAs will help you stay on track, regardless of the exam dates.
4. *Facilitation Sessions:*
Participation in facilitation is *not mandatory*. If you feel confident in studying and understanding the course materials on your own, you can proceed without attending facilitation sessions. However, if you find that you need additional support, feel free to join the *Online Facilitation*. These sessions can help clarify difficult concepts and give you the chance to interact with facilitators.
5. *Laboratory Courses:*
For those taking laboratory-based courses, note that your study center may not always follow the laboratory timetable listed on the NOUN student portal. To avoid confusion, I recommend visiting your study center directly to check their specific laboratory timetable. This will ensure you have the correct schedule and donβt miss any practical sessions.

Good News for All Students!
The management has temporarily removed the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirement for attempting TMAs.
Possible Reasons:
*Email Delivery Issues: Many students had trouble receiving the MFA code in their student email, and some didn't get it in their alternative email either.
* Trap. Warning Against Third-Party Help: Be cautious of others offering to help with your login, especially if theyβre using software or app that could compromise your results and semester. Always prioritize security and avoid giving out your login details to those you don't trust.
Make Use of This Opportunity Before MFA is Reintroduce!
Stay safe and take advantage of this temporary access!
