โFrom Stoltenberg's speech:
- Right now we cannot accept Ukraine into NATO;
- The decision to admit a country to NATO will be made by all 30 members of the Alliance;
- NATO is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and remains a defence alliance;
- The Alliance does not recognise Russia's new territories;
- We have to defend every millimetre of our territory, so we have to increase our military presence in the territories of our allies;
- Our task is to support Ukraine, to contain the escalation of the conflict and to show that NATO intends to use weapons if necessary;
- If Putin wins, these are risks for us;

Suddenly. An American magazine accused Zelensky of lying, and Ukrainian nationalists of killing Jews.
According to the author, Zelensky has never apologized for his statement in Babi Yar that "Ukrainians made a choice 80 years ago and saved the Jews."

๐บ๐บ๐ฆ Who hit a convoy of civilians in Zaporozhye - Rybar analysis
On 30 September, civilians waiting to leave for liberated territory from Ukrainian Zaporozhye were hit by an artillery strike. A shell (presumably 155mm) hit the site at the Orekhovsky car market, where convoys were being formed to cross the line of contact.
According to official statements, 24 people were killed and more than 30 wounded. Naturally, the Ukrainian side immediately accused the Russian Armed Forces of shelling the convoy.
Rybar's team analysed the direction of the strike, the nature of the dispersion of soil and shrapnel. We established that the strike came from the north-west, where [Zaporozhye] city is.
If we look at the military facilities along the trajectory of the strike, we find the military unit 3033 of the National Guard of Ukraine (coordinates 47.79788978589064, 35.22518575082353) at 4b Musulnaya Street.

Pentagon Psychological Operations Unit PSYOP badge with the slogan "Persuade. Change. Influence."
To follow up on the previous post: a recent Politico article highlights a few themes the authors suggest to use in the psychological war against Russia.
โ๏ธBeware of those when communicating online:
"The strategy of selling Russians on the American dream [...] is a relic of the Cold War, ill-suited to present-day Russia. Instead, U.S. information operations should use Russian nationalism to turn the tables on the Kremlin โ highlighting the warโs damage to Russia, exposing government corruption and inequities inside Russia, and exploiting resentment among Russiaโs ethnic minorities".
Proposed narrative on ethnic minorities:
Groups such as the Buryats, the Yakuts and the Chechens face consistent discrimination. [...] Meanwhile, during the war in Ukraine, the Russian army has recruited vastly higher rates of soldiers from minority groups than other groups, resulting in an elevated rate of minority casualties.

The hypocrisy of the Ukrainian press about petal mines: Part 1.
Over the past months, the AFU were using remote-controlled mines in towns of Donbass and settlements in other territories occupied by Russian troops.
The Ukrainian "journalist" Dmytro Komarov has recently visited Balakleya and warned the residents about mines such as "Lepestok" (petal), which were scattered by the AFU when Balakleya was still under Russian control. But he never mentioned that Ukrainians had scattered them!

Hypocrisy of the Ukrainian Press about "Petals": Part 2 (link to Part 1)
Report by @volrota:
A few weeks ago (August 10; Balakleya was under Russian control), the head of our volunteer center in the Kharkov region, Alexander Kulikov recorded a video review about how the Ukronazis sow Izyum, Balakley, and Donetsk with Petal mines.
Now the Ukronazis want to shift the responsibility for this to us. A report has been published in the Ukrainian media that allegedly the Russian military is sowing Balakley with "Petals". This is a lie, a provocation, and most importantly, an invention of the Ukrainian special services.
It was our Russian military that has been clearing the cities of mines for a long time. They conducted mine clearance so that civilians would not suffer, and our volunteers informed people about the danger of "Petals".
We present to your attention a video from three weeks ago. Our volunteers showed how many "Petals" the Ukronazis scattered in Balakleya and how the city is being cleared of mines.

Forbes: Russian Oil Price Cap Could Be Bidenโs Biggest Energy Folly Yet
By Dan Eberhart, CEO of Canary, LLC
There are two likely consequences of the price cap on Russian oil exports that G7 leaders agreed to in early September โ and neither is good for the policyโs architects.
The idea behind the price cap is to expand the reach of sanctions on Russia to third countries, thereby limiting the windfall the Kremlin is receiving from higher oil prices while also lessening the impact on prices in sanctioning countries. But there are flaws in this thinking.
First, big buyers of Russian oil like China and India will likely ignore or evade the cap and keep providing vital funding for Russiaโs war machine with their purchases.
Second, the price cap creates a considerable disruption to Russian oil supply that will send global prices skyrocketing, keeping Russian oil income buoyant while punishing the global economy.
[ ]
The worst-case scenario is full-blown Russian retaliation and the use of oil exports as a weapon, which could deliver a bullish shock to the market, pushing prices as high as $150 a barrel.
Such a scenario could increase Russiaโs oil income by as much as 50 percent while exacerbating global recessionary pressures.
The risk of this market reaction cannot be overstated โ especially since the Biden administration and EU and UK policymakers have proven themselves incompetent in the current energy crisis, and the price cap could be their coup de grace.

The G7's price cap on Russian energy exports is an example of Western policymakers trying to have their cake and eat it, too. It's also one that is likely to fail.

"Free journalism is not a crime!" โ Demonstration in Berlin against persecution of Alina Lipp
A rally in support of German journalist Alina Lipp, who has been repeatedly persecuted for her journalistic work covering the events in Donbas, is taking place right now in Berlin. Not only Alina herself, but her family has also suffered โ Alina's mother, Petra Lipp, was also targeted. She had to leave the country, and her bank accounts were blocked.
The protesters call for stopping Russophobia and arms shipments to Ukraine. "Rally for friendship with Russia and against the prosecution of Russians," Alina writes on her Telegram.

Why did people vote for joining Russia? A version from Annalena Baerbock, the head of the German Foreign Ministry.
Listen to her telling the German media in complete earnestness how people going to the referendum to vote have been shot and raped by the Russian military!!!!
And watch the reaction of the guests in the studio: they look quite amazed by the degree of insanity.
