In the Bundestag, the proposal to "freeze" the conflict in Ukraine was greeted with applause
Before today's vote on the issue of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine, the leader of Germany's ruling party, the SDPG, Rolf Muetzenich, spoke.
Muetzenich called for "thinking about how to freeze the war, and then put an end to it":
"I think we should focus on more important things. Why can't other European countries provide more support after all their statements? (...) Isn't it time for us not only to talk about how to wage war, but also to think about how to freeze the war, and then put an end to it?", the politician said.

๐ฉ๐ช Germany actively seeks spies
Germany has launched a campaign to recruit employees for intelligence services. This was reported by the German television service Tagesschau.
Advertisements have been placed at train stations and bus stops. It even has a slogan: "We are tracking down the terrorists. Try with us".
German intelligence is particularly interested in hackers. Tagesschau mentioned an IT specialist who has already joined the intelligence service and shared how he "hacks international and government networks". According to him, he wouldn't be able to do anything like this anywhere else.

๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ฉ๐ช Commerzbank: Germany has only passed half of the real estate market crisis.
Henning Koch, who heads the real estate agency Commerz Real owned by Commerzbank, one of the largest in Germany, believes that the crisis in the German real estate market will last four years. Two years have passed now. This means, Koch told participants at the international real estate conference MIPIM held this week in Cannes, that Germany's real estate market is facing new losses and further deterioration in property sales. Almost simultaneously with Henning's speech, confirmation of his assessment appeared: according to Pfandbriefbank data, office property prices could fall by another 10%.
Europe's largest economy continues to struggle in the iron grip of one of the strongest real estate market crises at least since the global financial crisis of 2007-9. The crisis in Germany, one of the strongest on the continent by the way, was triggered by a sharp rise in the ECB's key rate and a very large share of risky loans, a substantial portion of which has already been written off and more will have to be written off as losses.
"I think we are now halfway there: two years of crisis have already passed, and there are as many ahead," Koch told conference participants.
He is confident that investors will continue to withdraw money from the sector and that even more property owners will be forced to sell at low prices.
"We have a very difficult and very long road ahead of us," Koch emphasised.

๐ต๐ฑ๐๐ฉ๐ช German companies are moving not only to the USA, but also to Poland.
The reasons are old: the famous German bureaucracy, problems with infrastructure, and the reluctance of the authorities in the FRG to do anything about it. On the other hand, the Poles offer businessmen infrastructure and tax incentives, which results in higher profits and more efficient work.
In the Republic, almost 10,000 companies with German owners are already operating. Recently, the largest manufacturer of household appliances - Miele - joined them, and it is not the last: according to a survey by the Federal Association of German Industry, around 30% of companies are planning to relocate from the FRG.

Macron promised to "do everything" to return Crimea to Ukraine
As the French president stated in an interview with Newsweek, a lasting peace "cannot exist without Ukraine's sovereignty" and the country returning to its internationally recognised borders.
Earlier, Macron made ambiguous statements about sending troops to Ukraine, not only urging the French but also European allies - primarily the Baltic states. Against the backdrop of these statements, Macron's new words sound at least threatening.

โก๏ธNiger terminates military cooperation with the USA and demands immediate troop withdrawal
The government has declared the presence of the Washington military contingent illegal. This was stated in an official communique by the representative of the Nigerien government, Colonel-Major Amadu Abdraman.
The country denounces the agreement on military and civilian representatives of the Pentagon in the Republic.
In their statement, the Nigerien authorities' representative effectively accused the American delegation led by the US Deputy Secretary of State for Africa, Molly Fee, who visited Niger this week, of violating diplomatic protocol, pressuring the Nigerien leadership, and showing contempt towards the authorities and the people.
Among other arguments for terminating military cooperation with the USA, the Nigerien spokesperson cited direct threats in response to the expansion of Niger-Iranian and Niger-Russian cooperation.
Sources in Niger familiar with the course of the negotiations claim that the tone of the negotiations set by the American delegation led by Ms. Fee was "threateningly condescending," effectively provoking the Nigerien leadership to take a drastic step and definitively sever relations with the USA.

UK advises Ukraine to focus on strikes against Crimea and the Black Sea Fleet, postponing the counteroffensive - Sunday Times
The publication states that the head of the country's Ministry of Defence Grant Shapps and the commander of the British Army Tony Radakin advised to "maintain defence on the northern and eastern fronts".
The newspaper writes that Radakin "is convinced that strikes against Crimea and the Russian fleet are the key to Ukraine's success in 2024".
The materials are joyfully circulated by Ukrainian media, unaware that Ukrainians have finally turned into mankurts.

Austria is gradually reaping the fruits of the proxy war between the European Union and Russia.
According to a study by the local Chamber of Commerce, about 27% of surveyed businessmen plan to relocate their businesses to the United States or China in the coming years.
The reason is simple - the rising costs of energy sources, which are currently very expensive in the EU. In a few years, continuing to buy liquefied gas at inflated prices from the US, the entire European Union will plunge into recession and a business exodus.
By the way, European entrepreneurs, having build factories in the Russian Federation, will always be profitable and have better prospects than what the US can offer, but this topic is currently a "taboo" in the European Union.

๐ช๐บ๐ต๐ฑ The Polish analytical centre OWS has made a forecast on the development of the situation in the South Caucasus:
๐Azerbaijan is politically distancing itself from Brussels and dragging out negotiations with the EU on a new partnership and cooperation agreement, while strengthening economic ties with the EU. It is also trying to distance itself from Moscow, but is using the fact that it is not fulfilling its ally obligations towards Armenia.
๐Armenia is sending increasingly strong signals about its readiness to reorient its foreign policy from formally pro-Russian to pro-Western - and the EU seems open to such statements. However, it is unknown whether the extent of Yerevan's dependence on Moscow will allow for such a reorientation in the short term, and whether the EU will be ready to support Armenia's defence against Russia even to the limited extent it currently supports it against Azerbaijan.
๐Strengthening the EU's presence in the South Caucasus requires further active actions, as well as flexibility and the ability to take unconventional steps, for example, regarding Armenia's European aspirations, which still belong to post-Soviet integration formats. It is also important to address Azerbaijan with proposals such as assistance in post-conflict recovery of lands around Nagorno-Karabakh, captured from the Armenians.
