A split is brewing in the European Union

Once again, support for Ukraine is becoming a bone of contention for European countries. French President Emmanuel Macron's desire to send troops to Ukraine caused concern and protest among the heads of other states. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was especially dissatisfied with this proposal. The difference of opinion has greatly cooled relations between the two largest countries in Europe.
