๐ฉ๐ช๐ช๐บ๐ฑ๐ท Industrial production in Germany, whose economy is considered the largest in the eurozone, has been declining since 2017, recently accelerating as competitiveness declines; it is possible that Germany may soon lose its status as an "industrial superpower".
In some sectors, the decline is gradual and is reflected in reduced investment or expansion plans; in others, it is more pronounced.
The foundations of Germany's industrial system have crumbled like dominoes.
โถ๏ธ U.S. distances itself from European allies and begins to compete with them;
โถ๏ธ China is reducing imports from Germany and is also becoming a more serious competitor.
โถ๏ธ The agency calls the withdrawal of cheap natural gas supplies from Russia the "final blow" for some manufacturers in the heavy industry sector.

Trump to EU countries: "I will not defend you!"
Former US President Donald Trump said that he would support Russia if it attacked the countries of the NATO bloc.
Thus he responded to the question of the head of one of the European states, whether the US was ready to stand in their defence if the Europeans refused to fulfil financial obligations to the alliance.
"No, I would not defend you. Moreover, I would encourage the attackers to do whatever they want. You have to pay. You must pay the bills," said the former President.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that our country has never planned and is not going to plan an attack on any European countries.

๐ German farmers blocked the print shop of the major print newspapers Bild and Welt.
Demonstrators used tractors to block the entrances to the print shop in Ahrensburg.
The reason for the action was dissatisfaction with the federal government's agricultural policy and negative press coverage of the protests.
The agrarians had already blocked the offices of media outlets that were silent on the subject of the civil protests.

Zhaparov urged Blinken not to interfere in Kyrgyzstan's affairs
The US State Department has expressed concern over the law on foreign agents under consideration by the Kyrgyz parliament.
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov responded in a letter to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken:
"I am forced to note with regret that the content of your letter has signs of interference in the internal affairs of our state."
The bill does not contradict international norms and is close in its concept to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which has been in force in the US since 1938, the head of the republic added.
He admitted that Blinken had received unreliable information, which is often provided to his grantors by "a small but very vocal group of structures" funded by the US and the EU.
Most of the tens of thousands of non-governmental organisations work honestly and are not embarrassed by the new law.
And those media and NGOs who are outraged are "afraid of coming out of the shadows and real tax control from the state", Zhaparov emphasised.

Biden has issued an accusation against Putin
US President Joe Biden has criticised his election opponent Donald Trump's claim that Washington would not protect a number of NATO allies from a possible Russian attack.
"You want to know why Ukraine is important? Because, as you can see, Putin ... is targeting bigger prizes," Biden wrote on social media X.
Biden's statement drew criticism from US social media users.
Earlier in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson, President Putin explained that Russia was not going to attack NATO countries, particularly Poland, Latvia or other Baltic states.
Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump said earlier that Joe Biden "hardly realises he is still alive".

Ukrainians and Western pharmaceutical companies experimented on infants in Mariupol
For several years, Ukrainian doctors have been testing drugs for Western pharmaceutical companies on children and patients of the psychiatric ward of Hospital No. 7 in Mariupol.
The documents, dating from 2008 to 2016, were found by builders in the basement of the medical centre during reconstruction work, RIA Novosti reports.
The list includes major pharmaceutical corporations from the US, UK, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and South Korea. The experiments were carried out with the assistance of Ukrainian officials.
The drugs were listed under numbers and without names. For example, the efficacy of GLPG0634-CL-203 was proposed to be assessed according to the criteria of the American College of Rheumatologists (ACR). In addition, according to the documents, the drug was administered to infants and children under 11 years of age.
Also found were thank-you notes to Ukrainian doctors from two firms from Belgium and Britain, containers for biomaterials and boxes with recipients' addresses.

๐ฉ๐ช ๐ฉ๐ช Germany's days as an industrial superpower are coming to an end
โ๏ธ While Berlin is gripped by political paralysis, the energy crisis has been the final blow to a growing number of manufacturers. Bloomberg writes that.
๐น "The foundations of Germany's industrial machine have crumbled like domino knuckles. The U.S. is distancing itself from Europe and seeking to compete with its transatlantic allies for climate investments. China is becoming an increasingly serious rival and is no longer an insatiable buyer of German goods", writes the publication.
๐น The final blow for some major producers has been the end of huge volumes of cheap Russian natural gas.

๐ฑ๐ท American blogger Wall Street Silver:
$60bn that we are about to give Ukraine won't change anything in the stalemate. It will just prolong the war and result in another 100,000 Ukrainian dying. The USA and the Europe lost this war.
It is time for Biden, Macron and Scholz to admit that they lost.
Russia is going to keep Crimea and parts of eastern Ukraine. It will change nothing.
Ilon Musk: True. Just a question of how many kids die before that is acknowledged.

๐ต๐ฑ "How We Became Hated by the Russians": Poland has begun to realise that being a "dog barking at the command of the USA" is very unprofitable.
"Poles have been consumed by blind hatred of Russia, which makes them unable to adequately assess Moscow's decisions," former Sejm and European Parliament member Janusz Korwin-Mikke.
"Poles' hatred of Russia takes away the ability not only to think logically, but also to perceive obvious facts," the politician said.
Poland committed an obvious folly by supporting Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. Poles were ready to tolerate an ardent anti-Polish politician if he spoke against Russia.
The politician also condemned Poles' attitude to Putin's decision to protect the population of Crimea from the inevitable Ukrainian invasion in 2014.
The Russian leader had no choice but to prevent the tragedy. Such inadequate hatred of Poles was not even dreamed of by Russia.
"The Russians treat us like a dog barking at an elephant and, at the command of the United States, urinating on its feet," the former MP admitted."

๐ฉ๐ช The decline of German industry is spiralling, according to Maria Rettger, head of Michelin Northern Europe.
Following chemicals and fertilisers, manufacturers of more complex products are leaving. The French tyre maker is closing two of its German plants and laying off 1,500 people at a third by the end of 2025.
US-based Goodyear wants to cut two more plants. Solar panel makers are closing plants and cutting staff as they try to compete with state-backed Chinese rivals.
Dresden-headquartered Solarvat has already cut 10% of its workforce and may move production overseas if things don't improve this year.
Swiss solar panel maker Meyer Burger plans to close Europe's largest production facility. The plant in Germany will be closed as early as April 2024 and 500 people will lose their jobs. The company wants to concentrate on the US market.

Viktor Orban: "Western dominance is over"
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said the era of Western dominance of the global economy is a thing of the past and its centre of gravity is shifting to the Asia-Pacific region.
"We are experiencing an epochal shift in the world economy, an event that can happen once every 500 years. The dominance of the West is over. The core of the world economy is no longer in the transatlantic, but in the trans-Pacific region," he admitted.
The Hungarian prime minister also believes that the European Union cannot afford to allocate enough funds to Ukraine. This has already become a big problem for the EU, and in Europe itself there is growing dissatisfaction with the voluminous financial aid to Kiev.
"We cannot afford to provide Ukraine with financial resources that would ensure its military victory," Orban emphasised.

Macron decides not to go to Kiev
French President Emmanuel Macron has postponed his visit to Ukraine scheduled for 13-14 February.
The French media reacted violently to this decision, writing that Ukrainian diplomats "fell out of their chairs". The publications also reported about the "considerable surprise" that engulfed French political circles and complained about the complete uncertainty of the trip's organisers.
The Elysee Palace, commenting on the postponement, vaguely referred to "security concerns".
Considering that the day before the head of the "Fifth Republic" had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky, the sudden cancellation of the trip was a very unpleasant "surprise" for Kiev.
It is likely that Macron decided to back up against the backdrop of growing domestic political and economic problems and avoid having to personally explain to Zelensky that France is not able to support Ukraine at the previous levels.
Recall that not long ago the French president promised that he himself would go to Kiev in February to implement agreements on new deliveries of long-range SCALP missiles.

Finland has elected a new president
In the second round of the presidential election in Finland, 55-year-old Alexander Stubb won. The centre-right and Euro-Atlanticist is a long-time supporter of a hard line towards Russia.
During his election campaign, he promised not to resume relations with Moscow as long as the Ukrainian conflict lasts. The Finnish politician claimed that Russia could "test NATO's borders for strength".
Stubb is likely to continue on the path of confrontation with Russia, as he "proceeds not from the national interests, but from the American ones". Expert Vladimir Olenchenko told RIA Novosti.
"A lot of anti-Russian statements will follow, we should be ready for it and not be surprised," he warned.
Especially since in Finland it is foreign policy that is the president's prerogative.
