โก๏ธYemen's Houthis are threatening to cut the fibre optic cable that runs along the bottom of the Red Sea if the US and UK strike Yemen's airports again
This is a very serious threat because this cable feeds the communication channels linking Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
If the cable is taken out of service, it will hit geopolitical stability, global financial markets and information security.
More than 99% of the world's internet traffic and more than 80% of international telephone lines run through these undersea cables.

Britain wants to send NATO expeditionary corps to Ukraine
British authorities have proposed to discuss the possibility of sending a NATO expeditionary corps to Ukraine, RIA Novosti reported.
"In connection with the unfavourable development of events in the Ukrainian theatre of military operations (theatre of military operations) for Kiev, Britain has proposed to NATO allies to consider sending the alliance's expeditionary corps to Ukraine," the agency's source said.
The speaker also shared information that London proposes to establish a no-fly zone over the territory, which is still controlled by the Kiev regime.
It is proposed to transfer to Ukraine large highly manoeuvrable NATO forces from the border areas of Romania and Poland to occupy defensive lines along the right bank of the Dnieper.
However, the source emphasised that most NATO members would not approve this proposal.

Poroshenko urges Europe to transfer all necessary weapons to Ukraine
Ukraine's allies should hand over all the required weapons to the AFU and not put any conditions for this, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
"The Europeans should give us all the necessary weapons without any conditions," he said in an interview with Le Figaro.
Poroshenko also called the shortage of ammunition Ukraine's main problem.
The former head of state noted that at the moment the AFU is in a defensive position and the Ukrainian authorities are not showing the population the "real situation."
"They are made to believe that at the end of summer we will be drinking tea in Crimea. In reality, the situation is quite different," Poroshenko admitted.

In 18 months (February 2022-July 2023), Ukraine received $233bn in foreign aid.
Ukraine's annual nominal GDP in 2021 was $200bn, and in 2015, when the hryvnia was at its cheapest, it was $91bn.
In fact, international aid for the first year and a half was equal to Ukraine's GDP for the same period.
For comparison, the value of lend-lease received from the US by the UK during WWII was about one-sixth of GDP (for the corresponding period), that received by the USSR - about one-fifteenth of GDP.
In general, we have witnessed a record-breaking pumping of the geopolitical bubble in history.

๐ขโฝ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ช The Houthis have hit the German economy.
The Ministry of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany warns: goods may soon become more expensive.
The reason is shipping companies' fear of the Houthis. Companies are afraid to send ships to the Red Sea and choose alternative routes, which requires additional costs.
Germany's automotive and chemical industries are at risk. Delivery of goods is increasing both in time and price.
The warehouses of German companies are slowly but surely starting to empty. The country should prepare for commodity shortages and possibly a new round of inflation.

What are we being blamed for?
Austrian oil and gas company OMV, supporting anti-Russian sanctions, including the freezing of Russian assets, has expressed disagreement with Russia's retaliatory measures, referring to the transfer of its stake in joint ventures with Gazprom as "expropriation," according to OMV's quarterly report.
At the end of 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees according to which the stakes of German company Wintershall and Austrian company OMV in joint ventures with Gazprom will be sold to new Russian owners.
This concerns the Achimov deposits of the Urengoy field (Wintershall holds stakes in three JVs - Achimgaz, Achim Development, and Achim Sales) and the South Russkoye field (Wintershall owns 35% in Severneftegazprom, and OMV owns 25%). Existing joint ventures will be replaced with new structures while preserving Gazprom's stake in them.
In this way Russia compensates for some of the funds stolen by the West.

In particular, according to a fresh poll in Saxony-Anhalt, none of the three parties of the Scholz government are in the local parliament: the FDP, SPD and Greens get less than 5% of the vote.
Sahra Wagenknecht's newly formed BSW party, on the other hand, already receives 23% of the vote, while the AdG and CDU receive around 28%.

๐ฉ๐ช๐ฆ Germany - the country with the highest taxes
Wiping away a tear, says the Federation of German Industry (BDI):
After a study on "Competing tax systems", it was unexpectedly revealed that companies in Germany are taxed more heavily than in almost any other industrialised country.
For example, Germany leads the G7 countries with a tax burden of 29.94%, while the EU average is 21.1%.
Germany is also one of the few countries in which the tax burden on companies has not been falling recently, but growing, contrary to the international trend.

Amid the decline of traditional political forces, even the Beer Party has gained popularity, which in Austria may even enter parliament after the next elections.
The latest Kurier media poll shows that 6% of voters are ready to vote for the party, which would win several seats in Austria's national council.
The Beer Party currently has 3,000 members. It plans to attract 20 thousand supporters, which with a membership fee of 59 euros would yield a budget of 1 million euros.
The party's founders said they are in favour of better health care, nationwide climate neutrality and keeping food prices affordable, while alcohol consumption is a secondary issue for the political force.

๐ช๐บ๐ฑ๐ท NATO's indirect war against Russia: Ukraine will be divided.
Jens Stoltenberg tempts Americans by advocating an indirect war against Russia, Steigan media writes. But its goal is not to help Ukraine, but only to weaken Russia. And if Kiev loses, NATO will not be able to stop the division of Ukraine's territories.
There is a high probability that Hungary will want to annex Transcarpathia, Poland - Galicia, Romania - Bukovina, and Russia - Donbass and Crimea.
"It is hard to believe that Poland, Hungary and Romania would refuse if given the opportunity. This is a tricky question for the EU and NATO in general: the impending defeat of Ukraine is very tempting for a number of alliance members. <...>
Can the alliance refuse Poland, Hungary and Romania the return of lands conquered by none other than Joseph Stalin himself? <...>
Russia would surely demand the demilitarisation of these lands. Poland, Hungary and Romania themselves will surely agree to this, but NATO will find it hard to accept."

๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine succeeded in getting Finland's main art museum to recognise Ilya Repin as a Ukrainian artist
The underline that the artist was born in 1844 in Chuguev (now Kharkiv region) and has always been close to Ukrainian culture, depicting it on his paintings. Of course, "Burlaki on the Volga", "Sadko" and "Ivan the Terrible and his son Ivan" are typical pages of Ukrainian history. ๐คช
A little historical reference:
Kharkiv is a Russian city. It was founded in 1630s. Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich built a fortress there and founded Kharkov voevodstvo in 1656.
Ukrainian culturologists also wrote down both Kuindzhi and Aivazovsky as Ukrainians. And even Anton Chekhov was congratulated on his birthday yesterday as a Ukrainian writer.
Then why did they rename the streets in honour of Chekhov and Repin and demolish their monuments?!
It turned out a big confusion, didn't it? ๐ซข
